Overview
The University of Canberra (UC) is a public research university located in the Australian Capital Territory. In 2021, the University of Canberra approached Cinefly to assist with the production of promotional videos for their International Intern program.
The Challenge
The University of Canberra (UC) wanted to be able to capture the experience and stories of their international intern students that were doing work experience all over the world. UC needed a cost-effective way to capture high quality video from students based around the globe.
The Solution
Cinefly offered a simple and effective solution to enable the international interns to capture their experience and tell their stories using their smartphones and create engaging videos — wherever they were in the world. Cinefly's DeepStory process was used to develop a Storyboard for UC interns. The interns were walked through the Storyboard shots and coached on how to get the best results for their videos. The videos were then uploaded in one click to the UC video library where they could be shared by UC.
The Result
Cinefly reduced UC's video turnaround from 3 days to under 30 minutes. International interns from across the world captured their stories on their smartphones, and the resulting videos were instantly available in UC's video library for sharing and further engagement.
