Overview
The QLD Sports Technology team were running a SportX Accelerating Growth Pilot showcase, attended by senior government and sporting organisations. They needed to capture authentic founder stories from five companies across Queensland and deliver a compilation video in time for the event. Using Cinefly, founders recorded guided smartphone videos via a purpose-built Founders Story Storyboard, while automated post-production and AI editing produced a polished supercut that became a highlight of the showcase and a reusable asset for each founder.
The Challenge
The Sports Technology team were holding a showcase event to celebrate the success of their "SportX Accelerating Growth Pilot" Program. The event was attended by senior government officials and sporting organisations and provided an opportunity for the 5 participating Queensland Sports Tech Founders to share their story. Their challenge was capturing the Founders Story videos from across Queensland and creating a compilation video in days, not weeks, so it could be used at the event.
The Solution
Cinefly offered a simple and cost-effective solution to enable the Sports Tech Founders across QLD to capture their stories and share their inspiration using their smartphones. Cinefly developed a Founders Story Storyboard for the 5 founders. The founders walked through the Storyboard shots and Cinefly's Director Guides guided them on what to say and shoot, and then at the press of a button the Cinefly platform fully automated post-production. Cinefly's advanced video AI then edited the videos into a showcase supercut.
The Result
The Sports Technology team used the video at the Showcase event and the supercut highlighting the Founders inspiration, their journeys and learnings, was a highlight of the showcase. The team plan to extend their use of the Cinefly video platform across future events and activities.
Each founder also retained a professional story video to use with clients, staff and investors.
